Text Box: Care Giving Ministries

Care giving ministries provide one-on-one contact with those in need. When you see the area you’d like to assist with, or if you know someone who needs assistance, please contact caregiving@livinghopeblair.org.

Card & Telephone Ambassadors

"A man finds joy in giving an apt reply-and how good is a timely word!" Proverbs 15:23

Card & Telephone Ambassadors provide personal contact with members of Living Hope Christian Center. This group provides loving care through the use of the telephone and mail, reminding those in need of care that they are not forgotten. A timely word may result in a life-changing experience for someone with a hurting heart.

A Card & Telephone Ambassador serves for 1 year and anyone may serve who desires to show concern for others. Each ambassador has 8-10 families to make contact with monthly. For more information on becoming a Card & Telephone Ambassador or about being under the care of a Card & Telephone Ambassador, contact Kelly.

Casserole Ministry

Quarterly, a group of people come to the church to prepare casseroles, frozen salads and desserts. The food is frozen for use as needs arise within families requiring assistance with meal preparation. This helps other ministries such as, the baby ministry, bereavement ministry and hospital ministry. If you would be willing to give a few hours, please contact caregiving@livinghopeblair.org.

Homebound Communion

Some of our members cannot be with us for worship due to physical concerns. On the first Sunday of the month, members of this team serve communion in the home of those who cannot be at Living Hope Christian Center. Anyone who has previously been ordained as an elder or deacon at any Assembly of God church is invited to join this team.

Homebound / Nursing Home

"…I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete." 2 John 1:12

Target personal visits to those confined to home or an extended care facility to brighten the day of these special people. This group seeks to minister to those convalescing and will reach out to the care givers by offering support and encouragement.

Visitor Team

This ministry is responsible for contacting first-time visitors who have worshipped with us.  A member of the Visitor Calling Team contacts those first time visitors one week each month.  In addition the visitor team assembles bags given to each visitor to Living Hope Christian Center. Any adult who is seeking a ministry requiring a small time commitment and enjoys phone conversations would be a welcome addition to the Visitor Calling Team.
